Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of benefits administration for half the MLS teams as-well-as the MLS League Office staff, including communicating general benefits information, enrolling employees in all levels of benefits, maintaining benefit files to include all current insurance forms and information. Liaise with Team Administrators to assist Players in getting information and enrolling in benefits in a timely manner.
  • Assist third-party administrator with Workers Compensation claims for Players of the seven MLS teams that you assist.
  • Confidentially administer all employee data change information/transactions including, but not limited to new hires, status change, termination, leaves of absence administration.
  • Maintain systems, including electronic, excel spreadsheets and paper, to ensure all transactions are recorded according to federal, state and corporate policy.
  • Assist with filing systems including personnel, Worker's Comp, Leaves of Absence/FMLA, I-9. Ensure all paper filing is done in a timely manner and according to legal requirements, and company policy.
  • Verify employment information according to Company policy for all active and terminated employees.
  • Manage rosters of MLS teams you are responsible for -make sure Players are active on benefits and separated when necessary.
  • Take daily calls from Players regarding their benefits, answering all questions in a timely fashion.
  • Manage and make decisions on benefit related issues.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required:

  • 4+ years experience in human resources/benefits administration
  • Highly organized, ability to manage many projects at one time.
  • Effective, demonstrated communication skills-both verbal and written.
  • Spanish speaking a plus.
  • Proficient in all computer software including Word and Excel and experience with benefit enrollment sites a plus.
  • High sense of urgency with an ability to meet deadlines

Education/Training:

Summary
The Senior Editorial Producer's responsibility is to manage and develop web content and promotional coverage of the club. The position calls for a sharp person who can wear many hats: editor, producer, blogger. He or she can also handle content management systems and work with photos and video. Web Producer

Summary
Major League Soccer is seeking a Web Producer who is responsible for managing the flow of content between the league and the team sites and producing robust interactive content.

Description
The Web Producer's responsibilities include managing workflow, editing content, and posting compelling interactive sections for the league and team sites. The producer will oversee creation of short- and long-term campaigns and developments on the sites. The position calls for a hungry, sharp producer who can handle working within a Drupal-based content management system to produce robust web content.

Responsibilities

  • Create interactive content for Major League Soccer sites, including microsites, sections for ticket sales, and other sports-related products.
  • Find ways to boost the popularity of a website and increase user engagement.
  • Be involved in the daily workflow of content from the league bureau to the local teams.
  • Work with other editors and producers across the country to conceive, design and launch new features that have an amplified interactive impact.
  • The ideal candidate will be highly familiar with the blogosphere and social media and be comfortable posting content using the Drupal content management system.

Skills and Requirements

  • 3+ years experience creating interactive content.
  • Ability to direct a team in a multi-media environment.

Summary
