One of the final pieces in Real Salt Lake's roster puzzle for the 2009 season was midfielder Ned Grabavoy, who RSL plucked from the MLS Waiver Draft in early March. The 25-year-old Grabavoy comes to Real Salt Lake from the San Jose Earthquakes, where he started 21 of his 24 appearances for the expansion side in 2008, which already marked his fifth MLS campaign. Known for his passing and possession, the versatile Grabavoy provides even more options for an already deep midfield and brings in tow a championship pedigree from his days with the L.A. Galaxy and Indiana University.
