Acquired

RSL: Selected in the first round (4th overall) of the 2007 MLS SuperDraft on 1/12/07

Depth is a luxury in Major League Soccer, and the inclusion of Chris Seitz in Real Salt Lake's goalkeeping corps certainly adds fuel to the argument that the Utah side boasts the League's deepest pool of talent between the posts - especially when considering the up-and-coming netminder did not register a League start in 2008. That's not to say that the now 22-year-old 'keeper wasn't busy last season, as Seitz was called away from his club to represent the Unites States at the U-23 level first to qualify for the Olympics in March before backing up Brad Guzan at the Summer Games in Beijing in August. Armed with an impressive resume and what many see as limitless potential, the former NCAA College Cup Champion from the University of Maryland and U.S. youth team stalwart returns in 2009 looking to push starter Nick Rimando as hard as ever for minutes with the first team.
