The stakes are always high anytime Real Salt Lake squares off against the Colorado Rapids. It hasn't taken long in RSL's short history for a bitter rivalry to form between the two clubs.
The 2008 opener of the Rocky Mountain Cup series will have a little extra on the line this Thursday, May 15, when Real Salt Lake (2-3-2, 8 pts.) will travel east across the Rockies to take on the archrival Colorado Rapids (3-4-0, 9 pts.) with first-place in the Western Conference standings at stake.
The Rocky Mountain Cup rivalry is renewed on MLS Primetime Thursday with another glittering bauble on offer for the winner, first place, for the time being, in the Western Conference.
